Job summary

United Digestive is seeking a friendly Front Desk Representative to support a gastroenterology practice. You will greet patients, collect payments, and ensure accurate records while coordinating with clinicians and management.

The role requires 2–3 years of clinic experience, familiarity with Greenway, and a CMA certification is preferred. You will work under the Practice Manager to maintain HIPAA compliance and smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 2-3 years of specialty clinic experience, gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Front Desk representative must be computer literate and able to operate Greenway and multiple Microsoft Practice applications.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt and helpful manner; provides instructions/directions as needed.
• Ensures patient information is complete and accurate; updates patient profiles and scans required documents in Greenway if necessary.
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances; manages patient monies and daily batches.
• Provides necessary release and HIPAA forms to the patient for completion and signature.
• Informs clinical staff of patient arrivals and coordinates with scheduling and referrals.
• Generates fee tickets and assembles patient charts for next day visits.
• Maintains waiting area and assists with patient movement to ensure smooth flow.
• Answers emails and voicemails; returns patient calls promptly.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
