UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations, perform vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and POC tests, and assist with injections and exams. You will document health status, manage patient flow, and coordinate with physicians.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS/HS certification (or obtain within 3 months), and MA credential approved by the MA Department of Health. Join a team dedicated to patient-centered care.

Formación

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• BLS/HS certification and ability to obtain within 3 months of hire.
• MA credential approved by the MA Department of Health.

Responsabilidades

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• May prepare and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist in routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
• Review lab results and escalate abnormalities to physicians.
• Enter data into medical records and process prescriptions/refills as directed.
• Collaborate with insurers for pre-authorization and eligibility checks.
• Collect co-payments from patients.

Educación

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) certification

Medical Assistant credential
