Ardelyx, a commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, is seeking an Area Business Director (Gastroenterology) to drive direct engagement with gastroenterology healthcare providers and staff. You will help position Ardelyx as a company delivering first-in-class therapies that address critical patient needs and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical/biotech sales.
• Experience in specialty pharma/biotech sales; gastroenterology preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals.
• Launch experience with products.
• Knowledge of patient services hubs and specialty pharmacy distribution.
• Understanding of applicable laws and regulations for pharma sales.
• Ability to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics.
• Strong clinical and scientific acumen to communicate with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales objectives.
• Assume accountability for an effective sales plan.
• Collaborate with ABD peers to optimize opportunities.
• Work with Marketing, Patient Services, and Market Access to share territory insights.
• Communicate clinical data and market access information to stakeholders.
• Ensure activities comply with laws and Ardelyx policies.
