Job summary

Connectly Recruiting is assisting a Nassau County, Long Island practice in hiring a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist. The physician will provide high-quality GI care in a multi-specialty setting with a focus on outpatient services, including colonoscopies and EGDs.

Qualifications

• Active Board Certification (or Board Eligibility with a clear path to certification) in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
• Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice is required.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to grow and manage a thriving patient base.
• Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality gastroenterology care.
• Conduct detailed clinical assessments, including history taking and physical exams.
• Outpatient-focused role within a multi-specialty group with high-volume patients.
• Diagnose and manage a broad range of GI disorders including IBD, IBS, liver disease.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating pharmacology and lifestyle changes.
• Perform and interpret screening/diagnostic procedures (colonoscopies, EGDs).
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation to support workflow and safety.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons and oncologists.
• Promote preventive health strategies, especially colorectal cancer screening.
• Participate in ongoing medical education and practice improvement.
