Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist for a well-established physician-led group in Nassau County, Long Island. The role emphasizes high-quality GI care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and outpatient management.

The position offers flexible hours with Monday–Friday schedule and no on-call requirements, in a supportive multi-specialty environment. Strong emphasis on colorectal cancer screening and preventive health.

Qualifications

• Active Board Certification (or Board Eligibility with a clear path) in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, comprehensive gastroenterology care.
• Conduct thorough history taking, physicals, and interpret diagnostics.
• Manage a high-volume, full-scope GI practice in an outpatient setting.
• Diagnose and treat GI disorders including IBD, IBS, liver disease, motility and biliary diseases.
• Develop individualized treatment plans with pharmacologic and lifestyle approaches.
• Perform and interpret colonoscopies and EGDs for early disease detection.
• Maintain accurate EMRs to support safety and workflow.
• Collaborate with colorectal surgeons, oncologists, and PCPs.
