Job summary

SCG in Orange, CT is seeking a Supervisor for the Meter & Services team to lead field technicians, ensure safety compliance, and manage emergency response and customer service activities. The role emphasizes scheduling, regulatory adherence, coaching, and collaboration with state regulators.

It requires 5+ years in natural gas utility operations and a CT driver’s license. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential to drive performance, coordinate resources, and maintain service

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in natural gas utility operation.
• High School Diploma / GED required.
• Valid CT Driver’s License.
• HVAC license or certification is desirable.
• Strong leadership/managerial skills required.
• Must be available to support gas emergency field situations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises safe and efficient daily field activities of Service Technicians.
• Ensure gas leak emergencies targets are met and provide assistance as needed.
• Oversee SCG/ CNG service policies and safety procedures.
• Coordinate safety training, inspections, and accident investigations.
• Schedule and complete gas service replacement work.
• Communicate with Customers and state regulatory staff on gas utility operations and service delivery.
• Conduct employee evaluations for annual performance appraisal.
