Job summary

Aero Alliance in Houston, TX seeks a skilled Test Technician to perform dynamic testing of gas turbine engines, troubleshoot test cells, and review performance data. You will support calibration, maintenance, and documentation while promoting safety and lean initiatives within the facility.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical skills, ability to read drawings, and experience with test equipment and controls. Candidates must work well in a team and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanical and electrical skills with shop equipment and test instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform dynamic testing and troubleshooting of gas turbines during engine tests.
• Setup and use data acquisition systems; interpret data to ensure engines meet acceptance criteria.
• Adjust engine controls and test equipment to meet objectives.
• Operate and maintain test cell auxiliary systems including load banks, gas compressors, and emission monitors.
• Complete and maintain test logs and documentation.
• Assist with installation and removal of gas turbines and related equipment.
• Collaborate with staff to troubleshoot test cell systems and instrumentation.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of test facilities and equipment.
• Promote safety and lean initiatives within the facility.
• Provide guidance to junior Test Technicians.
• Work independently while contributing to the team.
