Job summary

Aerodyn Engineering in Whitestown, IN is seeking a Turbo Test Technician to build and test components in hot gas stand cells. You will apply mechanical aptitude, read drawings, set up measurement equipment, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with engineering and shop personnel to meet cost, schedule, and customer requirements while documenting test results and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Testing, Automotive, or similar industry experience.
• A&P Mechanics, EETs, or METs are preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to develop creative solutions.
• Excellent oral, written, and technical communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team.
• Customer-focused and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Follow all PPE and safety procedures.
• Utilize drawings to set up test measurement equipment in turbo test cell.
• Install test cell pipes, perform leak checks, and monitor data.
• Develop detailed test records and monitor customer specifications.
• Lead requests for essential parts and equipment as needed.
• Assist in loading/unloading customer test articles.
• Develop assembly/test flow and identify risks with mitigations.
• Provide status updates and ensure completion of tests.
• Communicate with lead test technician about issues or concessions.
• Share lessons learned for continual improvement.
• Support mandatory labor to achieve testing goals.
