Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) in Mentor, OH, seeks a Repair Development Engineer to lead industrialization, development, and integration of repairs for turbine engine components. You will create, construct and integrate repairs into approved data formats and develop new repairs with OEM support.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians to translate OEM manuals into actionable work instructions while ensuring compliance with FAA data and aerospace standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or a high school diploma with 5+ years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interpret OEM manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints and apply them.
• Mechanical inclination with technical and practical assessment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and work instructions; follow verbal and written guidelines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to convey complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Develop clear work instructions from OEM manuals and technical data for gas turbine engine components.
• Analyze OEM manuals and assembly diagrams to produce efficient instructions.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings for daily projects.
• Communicate component status, troubleshooting, and repair estimates with teams.
• Collaborate with OEM to recover unserviceable components while meeting customer needs.
• Work with Process Engineers to generate repair documentation.
• Review repair flow to improve throughput and turnaround time.
• Develop or revise work instructions and tooling and communicate changes production teams.
• Ensure repairs meet FAA approved data and industry standards.
