Job summary

Component Repair Technologies in Mentor, OH seeks a Repair Development Engineer to lead the industrialization, development and integration of turbine engine repairs. You will create and integrate repairs into approved technical data formats and collaborate with OEMs.

You'll work with Process Engineers and senior technicians to develop new repairs, improve workflows, and ensure FAA data and industry standards are met while training others on best practices.

Qualifications

• Four Year degree in Engineering or technical field or a high school diploma with 5 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to interpret OEM repair manuals, FAA regulations, and blueprints and apply the information.
• Experience interpreting technical drawings and work scope instructions.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols to ensure compliance with company safety policies.
• Research OEM manuals and technical data to develop clear work instructions for gas turbine engine components.
• Analyze OEM manuals and review diagrams to translate into efficient work instructions.
• Interpret and apply information from blueprints and drawings to daily projects.
• Communicate component status, estimates, and project management at a high level.
• Collaborate with OEMs to recover unserviceable components while supporting customer requirements.
• Work with Process Engineers to generate repair documentation and improve repair flow.
• Develop or revise work instructions and tooling for production and communicate requirements to teams.
• Ensure repair requirements meet FAA approved data and industry standards.
