Hyson in Brecksville, Ohio, is seeking a Sr. Operations Manager - Gas Struts to lead gas strut manufacturing, including machining, assembly, and material flow. You will own safety, quality, delivery, and cost while building the team and processes to scale.

You will oversee production today and help implement the discipline required for growth, partnering with engineering, planning, and maintenance to drive performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in manufacturing operations with leadership experience.
• Experience in precision machining and mechanical assembly environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS9100 is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving methods like 5-Why, 8D, and A3.
• Experience with lean, 5S, and visual management practices.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsabilités

• Own daily production execution for gas strut operations and meet schedule, quality, and cost goals.
• Lead daily management system with shift start-up and constraint escalation.
• Coordinate with planning to convert schedules into executable plans.
• Drive safety performance and enforce PPE and safety standards.
• Ensure quality control and lead root-cause corrective actions.
• Oversee manufacturing engineering, tooling, and equipment requirements.
• Lead process validation, capability studies, and cycle-time improvements.
• Support new product introductions with manufacturability input.
• Develop and maintain a skills matrix and certification process.
• Mentor and develop machinists, assemblers, and technical staff.
• Collaborate with sales, quality, sourcing, and finance on commitments and cost.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean methods and 5S.
• Maintain 5S and visual management standards on the floor.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
