Job summary

Hyson in Brecksville, Ohio is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to help launch a new gas strut product line. You will develop manufacturing processes, create documentation, and support the line from design to production, working with operations, quality, and supply chain.

The role requires strong problem solving, hands-on engineering experience in manufacturing, and the ability to drive APQP/PFMEA and control plans with the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in product, manufacturing, or process engineering in industrial manufacturing.
• Proficient with SolidWorks for component/assembly design and drawings.
• Experience creating/managing BOMs and routings in ERP; SAP/JBA a plus.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS9100 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead processes to bring a new gas strut line into full production.
• Develop/manufacture processes including routings, fixturing, tooling, and equipment.
• Create and maintain drawings, design standards, and specs using SolidWorks.
• Maintain BOMs and routings in ERP; support supplier qualification.
