Job summary

Force Motion Group (FMG) in Brecksville, OH is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to design and support engineered-to-order products and nitrogen gas springs. You will translate customer requirements into accurate 3D models, drawings, and BOMs for production.

The role emphasizes process improvement, collaboration with engineering, operations and quality teams, and mentoring co-ops. Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAM software, plus experience with ISO 9001/IATF 16949/AS9100D preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on product and project engineering in an industrial operation with machining.
• Strong CAD/CAM and 3D modeling skills with SolidWorks or Esprit.
• Experience with machining equipment and quality standards such as ISO 9001/IATF 16949.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with safety, budget, and schedule in mind.

Responsibilities

• Design engineered systems in SolidWorks, create 3D models and drawings.
• Create BOMs and specifications in the ERP system and release drawings.
• Develop CNC programs to support efficient manufacturing.
• Serve as SME on engineered systems and nitrogen gas springs for customers and sales.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations and quality on projects from concept to execution.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform root cause analysis for long-term fixes.
• Lead internal and external resources on projects, ensuring safety and timelines.
