Job summary

Kinder Morgan is seeking a Commercial Scheduler in Houston to be the primary contact for customers and manage daily scheduling for assets on our Midstream natural gas pipelines. You will handle nominations, confirmations, scheduling, allocations and imbalance management across multiple pipeline systems.

You will collaborate with producers, marketers, pipelines and internal teams, perform daily confirmations, and support invoicing and month-end close.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ relative gas industry experience.
Experience in a customer service role conveying complex concepts within time constraints.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and ability to identify process improvements.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Works well in a team and autonomously with limited supervision.
Experience with DART or equivalent transactional data systems is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Ability to adapt quickly and solve problems in a changing environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; capable of learning Power BI and RPA tools.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain relationships with producers, marketers, pipelines, shippers and internal stakeholders.
Communicate with internal/external customers and teams on daily scheduled activities.
Perform daily confirmations with operators using various methods multiple times per day.
Assist customers with nominations using iDART.
Nominate marketing activity in 3rd party EBBs for multiple pipelines.
Monitor nomination reductions and adjust as needed.
Confirm positions and balances in third-party and internal systems and reconcile to activity.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding daily business and contract requirements.
Monitor outages and maintain efficient transportation to avoid penalties.
Review customer contractual rights and manage daily transportation logistics and allocations.
Monthly sign-off, reconciliation and resolution of imbalances on OBAs and other contracts.
Complete end-of-month invoicing and accounting close.
Review point flows with SCADA and monitor for issues.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
