Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a Director to lead Engineering & Construction for gas project development, from due diligence to construction readiness.

You will drive cross-functional collaboration across Generation Development, ISC, and E&C, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor a high-performing team in a dynamic, origination-driven environment.

The role requires 12+ years in energy project delivery and a proven track record in major equipment procurement and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in energy project development or large capital construction.
• Deep expertise in EPC/EPCM project delivery, cost estimating, scheduling, and risk management for gas generation projects.
• Experience with balance-of-plant interconnection and utility requirements.
• Ability to lead without direct authority in origination-driven environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead gas technology and commercial due diligence across project development activities.
• Own the development and improvement of estimating and scheduling tools.
• Maintain the E&C risk register and track scope, schedule, cost, and constructability risks.
• Coordinate with Procurement & ISC on major equipment procurement and bid evaluation.
• Lead negotiations of high-value contracts and ensure alignment with project goals.
