Job summary

Blattner Company is expanding its energy construction leadership into gas power generation. This role focuses on building a robust Quality Control program on projects, leading inspectors, and driving process improvements across teams.

You will supervise QC staff, coordinate inspections, and implement testing plans, while collaborating with Owners and Developers to ensure contract compliance and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Two-year related degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Two years of Quality Control process and procedures; supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to meet our MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) standards, with a good driving record and capable of operating company owned vehicles or UTVs.
• Read and understand contract exhibits and engineering plans and specifications.
• Analytical, organized, and have high level of attention to detail.
• Build strong and open relationships with Trade Superintendents, Foreperson, and the Project Team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Quality Department to develop and implement the site-specific Inspection and Testing Plan for Inspectors and third-party inspectors/testers.
• Supervises, trains, and schedules Quality Control Inspectors activities, ensuring proper application of standards.
• Provides coaching on communication and engagement with project team members.
• Tracks and presents Quality metrics to the project team.
• Performs inspections, tests, and observations as defined in the Inspection and Testing Plan.
• Adminsisters the Nonconformance process at the project level and resolves nonconformances.
• Assists in root cause analysis and preventative action recommendations.
• Promotes continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities such as Kaizen events.
• Acts as liaison with Owner/Developer regarding quality issues or concerns.
• Coordinates walk-downs and inspections with Project Team and Owner/Developers.
• Follows Standard Work and supports development of Standard Inspection and Test Instructions.
