Job summary

Blattner Company, a leading renewable energy contractor, is expanding its energy construction leadership into gas power generation from Avon, Minnesota. The Site Quality Manager will champion Blattner’s quality culture, serve as a technical SME, and mentor Quality Coordinators across projects, while implementing standardized work and continuous improvement.

Required: a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8+ years of progressive experience, strong communication, leadership, and QA/inspection

Qualifications

Eight or more years of progressive related experience required. Construction quality leadership preferred.
Excellent communication and people skills, as well as interpersonal and collaborative skills at all levels within the organization and clients.
Must be able to articulate clear and concise messages including translating technical material when necessary.
Must possess the leadership skills and experience necessary to train and develop Site Quality Coordinators.
Must have a complete understanding of Standard Work including Lessons Learned, Work Methods, Standard Work Instructions.
Must have complete understanding of Quality Control Inspection Instructions and Test Instructions.
Must have a thorough understanding of root cause analysis techniques, nonconformance reporting, management, and data reporting.

Responsibilities

Assesses Blattner’s Quality Culture and verifies that Blattner’s Quality Program is understood and consistently applied across projects.
Trains, develops, and mentors Site Quality Coordinators to ensure the Quality Control team integrates with the project team.
Supports Site Quality Coordinators in establishing accurate Quality Control Work Plans for each project.
Promotes adherence to Standard Work Instructions and procedures.
Collaborates with the Process Excellence and Safety teams on quality and safety programs.
