Vistra Corp in Texas is seeking a skilled Plant Operator/Maintenance technician to perform instrumentation, electrical, and preventive maintenance at the Hays Plant. You will work under site management to ensure safe, reliable plant operation and equipment performance.

The role emphasizes diagnosing instrument and electrical faults, executing maintenance work orders, and coordinating with operations and engineering to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED equivalent required.
• 1 year as I&C or 2 years related work experience required.
• Safety and Environment rules knowledge as they relate to electrical maintenance.
• Working knowledge of CMMS; Maximo preferred.
• Possess good math, communication skills, and tool proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Inspect, calibrate, test, and maintain transmitters, switches, gauges, and sensors.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic, electronic, and digital instrumentation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, and HMI systems.
• Test and maintain control valves, actuators, and related instrumentation.
• Verify instrument loops, alarms, interlocks, and shutdown systems.
• Maintain boiler, turbine, and burner management controls.
• Perform loop checks, functional tests, and calibration.
• Review calibration records and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with operations and engineering to minimize downtime.
