Job summary

Vistra Corp. at the Hays Plant in Texas seeks an Instrument and Controls Technician to perform instrumentation and electrical maintenance. You will inspect, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot transmitters, valves, switches, and control systems under site management guidance.

Qualifications

• High School education or GED equivalent.
• 1 year as I&C or 2 years related work experience.
• Knowledge of Safety and Environment rules for electrical maintenance.
• Familiarity with CMMS (Maximo preferred).
• Good verbal communication and ability to use power/precision tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate, test and maintain instrumentation and control devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, electronic, and digital instrumentation; maintain DCS/PLC/HMI systems.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; assist with outages and start-up procedures.
