Job summary

Vistra Corp is seeking a Plant Operator for a gas-fired generation facility in Monahans, TX. You will perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems, including calibrations, startups and shutdowns, and ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires 4–6 years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work outdoors in heat and loud environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade/technical training preferred.
• Must be eligible on POSS/MASS program to be considered.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental rules as they relate to power generation.
• Capable of frequent physical activity: standing, walking, climbing, lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on instrumentation, control, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in plant instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment.
• Inspect, repair, install and remove motors, generators, transformers, breakers, and related hardware.
• Maintain and calibrate plant instrumentation; document maintenance history and keep records.
• Maintain CEMS in compliance with guidelines.
