Qualifications

• Knowledge of use, function and maintenance of manual tools and equipment.
• Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution pipeline systems.
• Working knowledge relative to excavations and/or confined spaces; basic customer service; safety procedures.
• Reading and interpreting maps, atlas pages, blueprints, and job orders.
• Fluent reading/writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal on transmission and distribution pipelines.
• Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including pipe cutters, backhoes, air tools, and fusing plastic pipe.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment (fuel, fluids, lubrication, oil/filters).
• Investigate customer orders and emergencies (low pressure, leaks, fires, etc.).
• Maintain regular attendance and perform additional duties as assigned.
