Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a full‑time field technician to perform construction, installation and maintenance on transmission and distribution pipelines in Borger, TX. You will operate manual and power tools, load and unload equipment, and assist with routine vehicle and tool maintenance while prioritizing safety and reliability.

The role requires reading maps and job orders, understanding basic math, and using basic computer software. CDL eligibility and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of use, function and maintenance of manual tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Knowledge of construction/maintenance of pipeline systems and reading maps/blueprints.
• Fluent reading and writing in English.
• Basic computer functions and relevant software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines.
• Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including but not limited to: pipe wrenches, cutters, hammers, backhoes, and other listed items.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment (fueling, lubricants, oil changes, tool cleaning).
• Investigate customer orders and emergency situations (low pressure calls, leaks, fires, etc.).
• Regular attendance and willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.
