Job summary

ONE Gas, Inc. is seeking a dedicated field technician to perform construction, installation, maintenance and removal work on transmission and distribution pipelines in Tulsa, OK. Qualifications include basic arithmetic, knowledge of pipelines, and ability to work in excavations and confined spaces. CDL eligibility and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of use, function and maintenance of manual tools and equipment applicable to the position.
• Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (tested).
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution pipeline systems.
• Working knowledge and training relative to working in excavations and/or confined spaces, basic customer service, safety procedures, plastic fusion, natural gas characteristics.
• Fluency in reading and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Perform pipeline construction, installation, maintenance and removal on transmission and distribution pipelines.
• Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment listed in the job description.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Investigate customer orders and emergency situations (e.g., Low Pressure calls, Class 1 Leaks).
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
