Job summary

Peoples, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Gas Operations Supervisor (O&M) to lead the maintenance and repair of gas facilities in the Kiski region, ensuring safe, compliant, and reliable service. You will coordinate projects, outages, and field activities with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in gas operations with at least 1 year in leadership, strong knowledge of PUC/CFR/DOT regulations, and proficiency with GIS/SAP and related systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in gas operations or related industry.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience or advancing leadership duties.
• Understanding of PUC, CFR and/or DOT regulations.
• Demonstrated success in leadership role and in systems/project management.
• Solid knowledge of SOPs and applicable guidelines/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance and repair of gas operations facilities and related projects; manage resources and customer involvement.
• Plan, schedule, assign and monitor the work during regular, outage, and emergency situations.
• Pre/post inspect jobs and provide safety observations and equipment/vehicle maintenance.
• Monitor contractor activities and project expenses, review and approve invoices.
• Ensure proper work methods, safety precautions, and compliance with SOPs/regulations.
• Act as a point of contact for federal and state audits and investigations.
• Monitor budgets and overtime within approved levels; advise on safety training.
