Job summary

USIC Locating Services, LLC is seeking outdoor-focused technicians to perform standardized gas-line locating and mark-out in designated areas. You will operate locating equipment, mark sites, and support public safety while traveling locally and working in varying weather.

Training is provided and long-term advancement opportunities exist. Role requires valid driver’s license, ability to pass a drug screen, and readiness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Available for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Ability to travel locally during the business day; some overnight travel may be expected.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps, and prints; basic math skills.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Use locating equipment to determine gas line locations and mark the area with paint/flags.
• Develop knowledge of underground utility infrastructure.
• Follow all damage prevention guidelines.
• May locate other utilities in addition to gas lines depending on project.
