Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a qualified supervisor to oversee gas maintenance and construction field operations, coordinating internal and external crews and ensuring safe, compliant execution of maintenance projects.

The role requires extensive knowledge of gas distribution systems, project scheduling, and labor contracts, with strong leadership and communication skills. Travel to job sites and on-call duties are expected as part of the position.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gas distribution system design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and safety standards.
• Project and schedule management using scheduling tools.
• Working knowledge of labor contracts.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and teamwork skills.
• Proficient in PC desktop applications (Word & Excel).
• Five or more years in Gas Distribution/Field Service operations; supervisory experience preferred; experience in instrumentation/regulation or civil construction preferred.
• Valid Motor Vehicle Operator License; ability to obtain/maintain Operator Qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and manage gas maintenance and construction field workload with coordination.
• Supervise in-house crews and contractors for gas distribution operations.
• Communicate with customers and officials regarding construction and service delivery.
• Act as on-scene supervisor during outages and classify gas leaks.
• Participate in on-call rotation and direct work of unionized crews.
• Ensure safety through weekly meetings and adherence to procedures.
• Ensure work quality and productivity meet company standards.
• Prepare complete work packages with permits, dig safe authorizations, and drawings.
