Job summary

Eversource seeks an engineer to support gas distribution design, construction, and maintenance across MA/CT/NH. You will plan and execute engineering assignments, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codes while coordinating with multiple teams and external partners.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 0–3 years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum of 0 - 3 years related experience.
• Valid Motor Vehicle License is required.
• Ability to design gas distribution systems and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Knowledge of governmental codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design systems or installations to meet company objectives while conforming to standards and regulations.
• Work on gas distribution components including regulator stations and related infrastructure.
• Perform site layouts and prepare documents for procurement, permitting and construction.
• Specify and procure materials and equipment.
• Develop and maintain field procedures for compliance with standards and codes.
• Coordinate construction activities with customers, contractors, states, municipalities and internal departments.
• Assist in overseeing construction to ensure specification and code compliance.
• Review purchase requisitions and invoices related to departmental activity.
• Assist in gas distribution restoration efforts during emergencies.
