Job summary

Eversource Energy is seeking a Gas Control System Supervisor to oversee the gas distribution system in MA/CT, operating SCADA and ensuring safe, reliable flows and pressures. The position requires 5+ years in a similar operational role and a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts, availability for emergencies, and potential travel between MA/CT/NH. Safety-sensitive with drug testing.

Qualifications

• Requires a high degree of technical knowledge in natural gas transmission, distribution system configuration, and gas regulator station/SCADA system operations.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read mapping systems.
• Understanding of gas pressure and flow relationships, remote telemetering and control, LNG operations, applicable Federal and State codes, GIS.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and operates the gas distribution systems within prescribed limits.
• Provides 24/7 authorization to proceed for OM 140 qualified work.
• Directs personnel to respond to SCADA alarms and to make system changes.
• Executes and directs OM 441 SCADA Point-to-Point procedure.
• Logs shift activity and conducts CRM-based turnover.
