Job summary

Calibration Technologies, Inc. (CTI) field service technicians operate away from the main office, traveling to customer sites for start-up, calibration, light installation, and repairs of gas detection systems.

They train plant personnel on usage and prepare reports for PSM documentation, with a typical schedule involving weeknights in hotels and remote work from home when possible. The role requires willingness to travel across the continental US and strong electrical/industrial skills.

Qualifications

• Understand electronic circuit and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of PLCs, relay logic, and industrial control systems.
• Experience using a digital multimeter and troubleshooting 120VAC and 24VDC circuits.
• Ability to exercise component and personal safety to maintain, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical components.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, troubleshoot and repair gas detection systems and sensors.
• Translate system operation scope and user functions to plant personnel.
• Process reports for safety documentation to meet OSHA standards.
• Contact manufacturers/distributors to maintain/calibrate leak detection equipment.
• Determine best long-term repair method and translate solutions using CTI products when possible.
