Job summary

SEMCO is seeking a Gas Controller to monitor and manage the flow of natural gas across our pipeline system in Michigan. You will balance gas supply and storage, respond to alarms, and coordinate field responses to keep the system safe and reliable.

The role requires strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and clear communication with operations teams. This 12-hour swing shift includes rotating schedules and potential overtime, with a focus on complying with CRM and O&M

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Two to four years of experience in the natural gas industry preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain gas control systems per CRM and O&M requirements.
• Respond to alarms and abnormal conditions in a timely manner.
• Balance daily gas supply contracts and on-system storage.
• Coordinate field response activities and document changes as required.
