Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering a summer internship to support the Gas Control Analytics team. You will assist with SCADA field equipment, reporting tools, and data maintenance while gaining hands-on experience in a regulated energy environment.

Responsibilities include password/patch maintenance, regulatory data pulls, and developing SCADA HMIs, with a hybrid in-person work arrangement in Denver. Current students pursuing Computer Science are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• Current student, junior or higher (as of Fall 2027).
• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Assist Gas Control Analyst with SCADA field equipment support and reporting tools.
• Maintain passwords and patches for systems.
• Pull records for regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot communications to field instruments.
• Develop/maintain SCADA HMI.
