Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a strategic Reliability Engineer to drive reliability programs across the GCS organization at the Austin and Taylor sites. You will optimize the asset lifecycle from installation through end-of-life, focusing on safety, availability, and performance.

The role requires a strong reliability background, project leadership, and collaboration with teams including HQ in S. Korea to benchmark and implement best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Reliability Engineering experience driving equipment life cycle improvements.
• BS degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).
• Reliability certifications such as CMRP are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead GCS implementation of Infra wide reliability programs for equipment owned by GCS.
• Develop short and long-term strategies for reliability programs with defined scope and timelines.
• Develop and continuously improve GCS Equipment Management KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, etc.).
• Implement reliability programs such as RCMA, RCA, and CAPA.
• Standardize the Asset Life Cycle Process from Installation to End-Of-Life (EOL).
• Review CapEx projects for highest Reliability ROI.
• Assist in QA/QC for new facilities construction and modification.
• Lead rollout of Reliability Software Solutions for program management.
• Collaborate with reliability experts at SAS and Headquarters (S. Korea).
• Direct and provide guidance to new and junior engineers.
