Alliance HCM in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a full-time Garnishment Specialist to manage payroll withholdings and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local garnishment laws. You will review court orders, enter data into payroll systems, determine withholding amounts, and communicate with courts, creditors, and employees.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience processing wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and bankruptcy notices, preferably within a payroll service provider environment.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local garnishment laws (CCPA awareness preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll withholding requirements by reviewing court orders, wage garnishments, tax levies, and child support orders and entering them into payroll systems.
• Determine correct withholding amounts and prepare notices and response forms.
• Communicate with courts, creditors, and employees as needed to resolve issues.
• Regularly audit garnishment setups to ensure compliance with regulations.
