You will lead Special Events Coordinators, manage budgets, and work with Marketing, Volunteer Services, and external partners to deliver memorable events and high-quality guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree as listed; related experience acceptable.
• Minimum of two years of event coordination/management experience.
• Experience supervising staff is preferred.
• Strong project management and organizational skills across multiple events.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong negotiation and decision-making capabilities.
• Ability to manage event budgets and monitor expenses.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee planning and execution of Garden Special Events from concept through completion.
• Supervise, mentor, and support Special Events Coordinators.
• Develop, manage and monitor budgets for assigned events.
• Develop new events and refresh recurring ones; identify opportunities.
• Coordinate with Marketing on event content, invitations and promotions.
• Collaborate with partner organizations on joint events and projects.
• Coordinate with Safety and Security on event safety and compliance.
• Evaluate event success and prepare performance reports.
• Provide on-site leadership during events.
