Job summary

Powell Gardens is seeking a Retail Garden Center Customer Service Specialist to lead the Garden Center customer service area, assist guests in person and by phone, and train staff. You will manage cash handling, POS operations, and ensure SOP adherence to deliver a high-quality guest experience.

Working with the Store Manager and other departments, you will support daily operations, scheduling, product ordering, and seasonal activities while upholding safety and exceptional service standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of retail, customer service, or related experience required.
• 1+ year of experience providing lead, training, or operational support preferred.
• Garden Center or specialty retail experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems required.
• Experience training or coaching employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Garden Center customer service area and provide day-to-day direction and support to staff.
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests in person, over the phone, and through other channels.
• Train staff on customer service expectations, POS procedures, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures.
• Coordinate daily coverage, scheduling, and communication with the Store Manager.
