Job summary

Powell Gardens in Missouri is seeking a Retail Garden Center Customer Service Specialist to lead the front-end team, train staff, and ensure a welcoming, accurate checkout experience for guests. This role emphasizes hospitality, coaching, and maintaining consistent service standards.

You will handle daily cash procedures, assist with scheduling during peak periods, coordinate cross-department collaboration, manage inventory support, and ensure SOPs are followed to deliver high-quality guest

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years retail, customer service, or related experience required.
• Garden Center or specialty retail experience preferred.
• Experience with cash handling and POS systems required.
• Experience training or coaching employees preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train customer service staff; provide day-to-day direction.
• Manage cash handling and POS procedures; ensure accuracy.
• Open/close procedures; assist with scheduling.
• Coordinate daily coverage and staffing during peak periods.
• Collaborate with Garden Center staff to support customer experience.
• Communicate updates to Store Manager and SOP adherence.
