Job summary

GameStop is hiring a Store Manager in the United States to oversee all facets of store operations and drive guest satisfaction and sales performance. You will lead a retail team, manage staffing, training, scheduling, and payroll, ensure visual standards, and execute company initiatives while delivering exceptional guest service and achieving sales goals.

You will also manage omni‑channel orders, protect assets through loss prevention, and partner with the District Manager to drive performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience required.
• At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead store operations in a multiunit capacity and supervise retail staff.
• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, promote promotions, and thank guests.
• Promote and execute GameStop initiatives, including reservations and trade-in programs; foster guest loyalty.
• Schedule staff, manage payroll, attendance, and onboarding/training.
• Ensure store appearance, inventory control, and loss prevention practices are followed.
• Process transactions accurately using POS; handle cash and deposits per policy.
• Communicate with District Manager to implement store initiatives and performance improvements.
• Ensure omni-channel orders are fulfilled daily and store is merchandised per guidelines.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and professional standards across the team.
