Job summary

GameStop is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations. You will develop a sales culture, share product knowledge, and provide outstanding guest service experiences in a dynamic gaming retail environment.

You will supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders when the Store Manager is absent, ensure smooth operations, and help drive sales while maintaining a clean, organized store that showcases the latest gaming products.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service, greet guests, respond to questions, and promote promotions.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visuals, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships.
• Process guest purchases/returns using POS accurately and courteously.
• Respond to guest questions in person or by phone and elevate issues to the Store Manager as needed.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits, trade-in, reservations, and Pro Rewards loyalty programs.
• Assist the Store Manager with training and setting service expectations for associates.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred (business/marketing/merchandising)
