Job summary

GameStop in the United States seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. You will build sales by sharing product knowledge, ensure a clean, organized shopping environment, and grow guest loyalty through outstanding service.

You will supervise Sales Associates in the absence of the Store Manager. You will promote guest benefits and help set service expectations, training staff and monitoring performance to align with company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service and greet guests, addressing questions and promoting promotions.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Maintain a clean, organized store environment and ensure products are easy to see and buy.
• Verify transactions, manage POS operations, and process returns accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in achieving sales, profit and shrink goals and manage required administrative tasks.
