Job summary

GameStop in New York is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in all facets of store operations and to develop a sales culture through knowledgeable guest service and product recommendations.

The role requires leadership of Sales Associates, adherence to company policies, and a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences while maintaining a clean, organized store environment.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, address questions and concerns, and suggest products.
• Support store operations under Store Manager, maintaining visual and promotional standards.
• Supervise Sales Associates in Store Manager’s absence and assist with onboarding and training.
• Process purchases/returns using POS accurately and professionally.
• Promote loyalty programs and promotions to drive sales and guest loyalty.
• Ensure store cleanliness, merchandising, and inventory control in line with guidelines.
