Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs is seeking a Gaming Technician to repair and maintain gaming machines, keep accurate repair records, and coordinate with other technicians. You will perform preventive maintenance, participate in conversions/relocations, and monitor floor activity to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, stocking parts, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements while delivering exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3 years electronics or maintenance experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Computer literacy with Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).
• Internal candidates must meet shift and background requirements.
• Ability to work day, swing, late-night, weekend and holiday shifts.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor and major repairs on Gaming Machines, scheduled and un-scheduled.
• Keep complete records of repairs of department equipment per policies.
• Communicate terminal status with other Gaming Technicians and Leads.
• Perform preventive maintenance to maximize machine performance.
• Be involved in machine conversions and relocations including player tracking and networking.
• Maintain terminal maintenance on the gaming floor and respond to floor calls.
• Familiarize with test and support equipment and understand vendor diagrams.
• Know upcoming events and promotions and maintain terminal knowledge.
• Handle bill/voucher jams and other terminal failures promptly.
• Ensure work meets manufacturer minimum requirements and follow diagrams/manuals.
• Inspect equipment for tampering and mechanical issues.
• Record problems at terminals with repairs, maintenance and stock levels.
• Conduct periodic stock checks of spare parts for terminals and equipment.
• Resolve floor disputes with guests professionally and escalate as needed.
• Provide BIG service to guests, greeting and interacting warmly while anticipating needs.
