Job summary

Churchill Downs Incorporated, Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform multi-skill maintenance across machines, electrical systems, plumbing, and building trades to keep the property in top condition.

The role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and coordination with vendors. Candidates should be able to read technical manuals, work weekends or nights, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions with Facilities management and coordinate vendor visits.
• Develop special projects, propose new equipment, and obtain pricing with approvals.
• Inspect, test, and diagnose machinery to identify faults.
• Dismantle and reassemble defective machines and equipment.
• Maintain and organize maintenance inventory, supplies, and tools.
• Install new or repaired parts and electrical components.
• Document work tickets, time, and costs in the CMMS.
• Perform plumbing, carpentry, and basic repairs as needed.
• Paint, seal, and repair woodwork and plaster.
• Move equipment and furniture as requested.
• Report unsafe conditions to Facilities Management and correct them.
• Render other duties as assigned.
