Our client, Games & Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Gameplay Software Engineer III to join their team. As a Gameplay Software Engineer III, you will be part of the Engineering organization supporting the Gameplay team. What's the Job?
- Work with a team of engineers to implement new features into Beat Saber, including integrating new platform services, game content, and more.
- Own major areas of the codebase—maintain, improve, and help ensure long-term code quality and stability.
- Optimize gameplay and supporting systems for best performance across platforms.
- Contribute across the product development lifecycle, from requirements definition and specifications through development, testing, release, and sustaining engineering.
- Write super-clean, encapsulated, testable, and well-documented code that teammates can confidently build on.
What's Needed?
- BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- 5–7 years of game development experience.
- Proficiency in C#, object-oriented programming, and component-oriented architecture.
- Ability to work independently with minimal outside supervision.
- Experience building and shipping software through requirements, development, test, release, and sustaining engineering.

Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of 3D math.
- Extensive experience with Unity, including non-game loop features such as asset bundles, shaders, particle systems, and editor tool creation.
- Previous experience developing for current generation of gaming platforms.
- Experience with version control and build systems.
Nice to Haves
- Meta Horizon experience.
- Art/3D modeling experience.

- We have hired 4 CWs in this position before. Prior experience with Horizon, or with game development has been very helpful.
- Must have experience building games.
- Experience with AI coding, and AI systems (e.g. writing skills).
