Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking a General Shop Help in Sioux City, IA to prepare products for galvanizing by hanging, staging tubulars, and prepping small parts. Day and night shifts available, with focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include metal handling, fixture checks, and light assembly tasks in a fast-paced coatings environment. Applicants should have HS diploma or GED and basic tool experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Must communicate problems or needs to supervision.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must stand for long periods in open air environments; wear PPE.
• Must maintain safety at all times.
• Demonstrate passion and integrity to excel and deliver results.

Responsabilités

• Inspect and ensure safe use of production fixtures, chains and hooks.
• Wire small to medium parts to racks for galvanizing.
• Handle chains and ropes for racking of steel.
• Move light steel pieces in plant and yard.
• Operate tools to prepare/clean steel for galvanizing.
• Assist with general plant cleanup and housekeeping.
• Wear PPE and work safely to prevent injuries.
