Valmont Industries in Steele, AL seeks a Shift Supervisor for the Galvanizing department on 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 10:15 PM–6:45 AM). You will oversee production, material flow, and quality, enforce safety standards, and lead a team of 10–20 direct reports.

Duties include scheduling, hazard control, and reporting across shifts. You must have a high school diploma or GED with leadership experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of leadership in an industrial environment.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures.
• Ability to present information one-on-one and in front of an audience.
• Strong leadership skills to support divisional business objectives.
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Implement work schedule to maximize manpower, machines, and materials utilization across shifts.
• Identify hazards on shift, document, and own corrective actions.
• Conduct regular safety contacts and reinforce PPE compliance.
• Process parts to meet production schedule and inform managers of issues.
• Monitor performance, conduct reviews, and take corrective action as needed.
• Report discrepancies in blueprints, specs, methods, or data to Operators Manager.
• Ensure product quality meets standards and inspections are conducted.
• Report and investigate all incidents promptly.
• Ensure accurate reporting of time and production via reports.
• Lead shift start-up meetings and monthly safety meetings.
• Enforce company policies with firmness and fairness.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe working conditions.
