Job summary

Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Galvanizer to set up, operate, and tend hot-dip galvanizing equipment, ensuring corrosion protection for steel parts. Training will be provided; duties include processing, inspection, and safe handling of equipment.

The role supports production through to packaging and shipment, with a focus on quality and efficiency. Compensation reflects a daytime, full-time schedule in Portland, OR, with opportunity to advance as skills grow and responsibilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No galvanizing experience needed—training provided.
• Prior mechanical experience or aptitude preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate and tend hot-dip galvanizing equipment.
• Sort parts and prepare for processing; ensure proper color code marking.
• Load racks and maintain galvanizing coverage; follow safety guidelines.
• Inspect finished parts and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely and maintain work area cleanliness.
