Job summary

Eddie Kane Steel Products in Masury, OH is seeking a full-time Galvanizing Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for hot dip galvanizing rebar bolt threads, operating tools, monitoring tanks, and maintaining quality documentation to ensure timely customer orders.

Working Monday through Friday, 6am-2:30pm, you must lift up to 75 pounds, read job requirements, and communicate with supervisors to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and basic reading/math skills.

Responsibilities

• Move materials through galvanizing area and ensure smooth flow.
• Operate tools and equipment including crane and forklift as needed.
• Monitor galvanizing tanks and report adjustments to supervisor.
• Maintain production records and inspect outputs for quality.
• Read orders and confirm requirements with supervisor daily.
• Communicate issues to supervisor promptly.

Eddie Kane Steel Products has been a family owned and operated business providing exceptional service in the steel industry for over 26 years. The company motto has always been to "Treat others as you would have them treat you" and we are in search of a full time Galvanizing Technician.

General Description: Responsible for hot dip galvanizing rebar bolt threads required to complete customer orders in an efficient and safe manner by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Move raw material into and finished product out of the galvanizing area.
• Operate power tools, overhead crane, industrial fork truck, etc. to process rebar bolts in the galvanizing area.
• Monitor various galvanizing process tank statuses and advise supervisor of necessary adjustments.
• Monitor galvanizing consumable levels (zinc, bismuth, etc.) and advise supervisor of reorder needs.
• Complete required paperwork for galvanized material, nonconforming material, etc.
• Maintain pace with equipment operators to ensure material flows smoothly into and out of galvanizing work center and prevent back up or delays.
• Use basic measuring tools to maintain quality standards on each order.
• Maintain neat and accurate written production documentation as required.
• Read, interpret, and understand the job requirements of each customer order. Communicate with supervisor to ensure a complete understanding of all information.
• Communicate all pertinent job related information to supervisor on a daily basis.
• Report any problems or quality concerns to supervisor immediately.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Full‑Time Monday through Friday 6am-2:30pm

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
