Job summary

Novax Recruitment is assisting a market leader in the galvanizing sector to fill a galvanizing supervisor role in Dallas, TX. You will supervise the galvanizing staff and ensure daily tasks are completed accurately and on time, with shift coverage for the First and Second shifts.

You will operate forklifts and overhead cranes, maintain equipment and tanks, and verify product codes and quality requirements. Candidates should have 5+ years in manufacturing, 3 years in supervision, and previous

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience and certified to operate forklifts and cranes.
• 3 years of production and/or manufacturing supervision.
• Previous galvanizing management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise galvanizing staff and ensure daily tasks are completed on time.
• Understand product codes and quality requirements for each product.
• Operate equipment to aid manufacturing, forklift, and overhead crane.
• Ensure equipment and tanks are always operating properly (acid levels, temperatures).
• Maintain shift coverage for 1st and 2nd shifts per production needs.

Job description

Salary: USD80000 - USD95000 per annum

Location

The Position

Supervise the galvanizing staff and ensure that all team’s daily tasks are completed accurately and on time. Shift schedules are as follows: First Shift 5 am-3:30 pm/Second Shift 2:30 pm-1 am Monday-Thursday with Fridays or Saturdays depending on production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an expert in the three main steps of the hot dip galvanizing process,surface preparation, galvanizing, and post-treatment.


• Operate equipment and tools to aid manufacturing, forklift, and overhead crane.


• Ensure all equipment & tanks are always operating properly (acid levels, temperatures, etc.).


• Supervise a small group of 1st& 2ndShift employees.


• Understand product codes and quality requirements for each product.

Requirements

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience and certified to operate forklifts and cranes.


• 3 yearsof production and/or manufacturing supervision.


• Previous galvanizing management experience is preferred.
