Job summary

Portland Bolt & Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Galvanizer for day shift in Portland, OR. You will set up, operate, and tend hot-dip galvanizing equipment, performing tasks from cleaning to inspection as you gain proficiency.

Training is provided; no prior galvanizing experience required. You must pass forklift certification within 90 days and work safely around hot zinc processes while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• No galvanizing experience required; training provided.
• Prior mechanical experience or aptitude preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
• Must obtain forklift certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine operation and adjust or stop equipment as needed.
• Finalize and package products for shipment.
• Operate and maintain machinery and production line equipment.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely to move product and materials.
• Follow established production guidelines and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
