Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Principal Analyst, G&A Technology to lead technology initiatives for Legal, OBIE, and Corporate Communications. You will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable tech solutions, drive planning and execution, and ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and data governance standards.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership in a highly regulated environment, collaborating with Privacy, Compliance, and Internal Audit, and leveraging Gen AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience supporting business systems in life sciences or another regulated industry.
• Experience supporting Legal, Compliance, and Corporate Communications functions.
• Proven ability to deliver complex technology initiatives with cross-functional and global stakeholders.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, integrations, and vendor-supported solutions, including iManage, Everlaw, Jasper AI, PwC Interactions Hub, and PoliteMail.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of technology initiatives, from requirements gathering through implementation and post-go-live support.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges, and opportunities.
• Manage relationships with strategic software vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers.
• Serve as a trusted advisor by translating business needs into technology solutions and delivery plans.
• Drive project planning, execution, risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication across multiple initiatives.
• Provide functional and technical expertise in application configuration, integrations, and documentation.
• Partner with Privacy, Compliance, and Internal Audit to ensure adherence to applicable regulations, data integrity standards, and system lifecycle and change management processes.
• Contribute to roadmap planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement across G&A Technology.
